Gayathri is a counselor and a fellow at Pause for Perspective (PFP). Through theoretical, practical, and research-based approaches, she has been honing her understanding of the nuances of psychology and mental health of individuals and communities for 6+ years. Her experience primarily revolves around working with young adults and folks from marginalized communities. Her work is informed by an intersectional social justice framework and she holds a stance that is anti-oppressive. She follows an eclectic approach to her work and moves between different therapeutic modalities in the process of therapeutic intervention. She believes that therapy when informed by the social justice framework is a space where the self heals at the greatest possible extent and she hopes to extend this space of healing to her clients. 

Qualifications/Certifications

PG Diploma in Psychological Counseling Skills from St. Francis College for Women, Hyderabad.

BA in Psychology, English Literature & Economics from Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru. 

Interests: Food and cooking, fitness, reading, philosophy, TV and cinema, technology, astrophysics, Formula 1.
