Anjali Alloria (She/They)

Anjali Alloria (She/They) is an Expressive Arts Therapist, Mindfulness Practitioner, and Community Therapeutic Arts Facilitator, supporting individual and community well-being through arts-based and resource-oriented modalities.

Anjali incorporates a blend of psychological counselling skills along with intermodal arts-based approaches encompassing visual arts, creative writing, poetry, music, movement, drama, play, contemplative photography, nature-based modalities, and techniques such as grounding, sensitization, creative visualization, and mindfulness.

Anjali has been working and researching in the field of Expressive Arts Therapy for 3+ years with demographics including school students, adolescents, young adults, communities, and marginalized children and women. The themes include stress management, emotional wellness, self-discovery, embodiment of strengths and resources, self and community empowerment.

Anjali has worked intensively with an NGO based in Puducherry for 6 months to research the role of community-based expressive arts therapy in women’s circles in fostering well-being. They have also facilitated a series of community workshops in Auroville and Sanskriti Kendra in Delhi. They believe in the inherent wisdom and expertise in each one of us and the creative intelligence of the arts in fostering well-being.

Other than work, you can find Anjali journaling, collaging, listening to music, meditating, reading more on topics such as energy healing, spirituality, philosophy and fiction. 

Qualifications/Certifications

MA in Expressive Arts Therapy (with a minor in Psychology) with an honor’s thesis from the European Graduate School, Switzerland

Certificate in Intermodal Expressive Arts Therapy from Swahansa Expressive Arts, Auroville, India

Mindfulness Practitioner certified by the International School of Counselling and Holistic Studies (ISCHS),

Bangalore BA in Psychology (Major) and Design (Minor) with a Gold Medal from FLAME University, Pune
