Anjali Nambiar (She/her)

Anjali Nambiar (she/her) Anjali is a counselling psychologist and fellow at Pause for Perspective.

She aims to create welcoming and authentic therapeutic spaces. Anjali sees her clients as experts in their own lives and brings an informed perspective to support them on their journeys.

Understanding that therapy can feel intimidating and overwhelming to all, she prioritises safety and comfort in her relationships with her clients. Her work acknowledges how socio-political systems and larger forces can shape people’s lives. She hopes to stand by her clients as they navigate their complex challenges, while building on their many strengths.

Anjali is trained in trauma-informed therapy and has supported clients with concerns such as anxiety, relational difficulties, and substance use. She has worked with adults, young adults and groups in diverse contexts.

Her therapeutic approach blends Narrative Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, CBT, and somatic practices, all guided by a social-justice-oriented, intersectional lens.

She strives to collaborate with clients to gently build towards a life with the values and self they wish for themselves.
