Meherin Roshanara (They/She)
Meherin Roshanara is a mental health practitioner, artist, and community organizer. Their practice is shaped and informed by Narrative Practices, Mindfulness, IFS, Depth psychology, and radical psychoanalysis. They hold an intersectional, trauma informed, neuroexpansive, queer affirming and anticaste- anticapitalist stance. Their practice is further deepened by their learning experience with Law, Cultural Theory, Literature, and Art.
Outside their work as an MHP, Meherin also engages with the world as a poet, photographer, translator and conceptual artist. They see Nature as a teacher and spiritual refuge.Their multidisciplinary practice — spanning poetry, comedy, conceptual art, and photography — weaves together the poetics of survival, defiance, spatial memory, and spiritual ecology. They also share a great affinity with Movement of all kinds, and are currently working on how talk therapy can be integrated with the healing potential of Movement, Art and Poetry.
Meherin seeks to engage deeper with decolonial healing practices around c-ptsd, Relational Healing, as well as work closely with neurodivergent clients of all genders, especially those from historically oppressed caste locations, to cocreate neuroexpansive, divergently designed experiences of Community, Learning Practices, and Access. Above and beyond every other learning, they center their practice in their awareness as a Lived Experience Educator of c-PTSD, and Neurodivergence( Autism- ADHD).
As a multiple-minority person, Meherin’s politics is rooted in Pasmanda-Ambedkarite anticaste thought, anticolonial rebellion, and NeuroQueer defiance. They facilitate the Anticaste Reading Circle at Pause, and run the Queer Translation Project as a collaborative creative space with the Queer & Trans Wellness Center.
They are currently a fellow at the Constitutional Values in Praxis program by Yakshi.
