All my life a deeper voice has gently beckoned me to slow down.
Pause for Perspective is the home ground, the safe haven to pause, reflect and gracefully adjust our sail into living intentionally everyday.
Experiments in slowing down is a free weekly invitation to step away from the rush of the world and pause, be present, reflect, gather perspective and live intentionally.
Every week you will receive an invitation to try a small, and simple exercise to slow down. This exercise will help you try something that will help you stop, see that which you usually see, with intention. With calmness and newness.
Experiments in slowing down is the invitation I need to step out of the rush my life can easily escalate to. And knowing how so many of us experience rush, I am extending an invitation to you, to experiment with slowing down.
So many of us, caught up in the rush of things feel that multitasking, reaching targets at break neck speed, staying overwhelmed till things get done is the only way to work, to live. And yet when we try to experiment with slowing down we begin to see how we were so way off in our perspective on how to get things done.
Slowing down helps us:
- Really see where we are.
- Gather perspective on doing things more authentically
- Just be, for a few seconds at least.
- Embrace the right now.
- Feel safe.
- Love better.
- Live better.
- Laugh deeper.
- Connect with ourselves.
- Connect with others.
The list goes deep and wide.
Yet, so often I forget how to slow down. I know that you do too. I also know that sometimes it is unbearable to slow down. A sense of acute tension rides us when we slow down. When I slow down.
Experiments in slowing down is an invitation to you to learn to slow down along with me. Please join me in this weekly practice of learning to slow down regardless of how rushed our lives feel.
You will receive a new exercise each week that will help you practice slowing down. I will also add a few journaling, drawing and doodling prompts from time and again to really help us dive into the exercise.
To join this free movement, subscribe to my newsletter called Pause for Perspective: Reflections here and choose to receive Experiments in slowing down to receive your weekly exercises starting every Friday. Also join the Closed FB group to share your insights and experience with the experiences.
